If you look for beauty you will find it. – Bill Cunningham, fashion photographer, who passed away this week.

“If you look for beauty you will find it”. This quote reminded me of the many teachings of Richard Rohr recently concerning the need to learn how to see. To be able to look at all sides, to take the time to learn and understand, to find a way to be in the middle, to find a place of grace where we can receive and hopefully add to the healing of all that is around us.

Today I walked in remembrance of Bill Cunningham, New York Times fashion columnist/photographer for over 35 years. He passed away this week at age 87. He reflected many of the qualities I love in Jesus as a man.
Bill lived his life with love, simplicity and generosity. He was not run by his ego. Money and social status meant nothing to him. It was expressions of who they were in their fashion he loved.
Bill wanted to be remembered by this quote: “If you look for beauty, you will find it.”
Reflection by Mary W.
Beauty near and far.
The simple picnic table
Lines texture shadows.
Mushroom on green grass.
Sweet smelling honeysuckle.
Beauty everywhere.
Golden grasses sway
In the gentle beach breezes.
Heavenly beauty.
