Huntington Beach State Park – Oct. 4, 2025

We join with the Earth
and with each other,
with our ancestors
and all beings of the future
to bring new life to the land,
to recreate the human community,
to provide justice and peace,
to remember our children,
to remember who we are.
We join together as many
and diverse expressions
of one Loving Mystery,
for the healing of the Earth
and the renewal of all Life.

—CAPACITAR prayer, adapted from the UN Prayer of the Sabbath

— Opening prayer chosen and read by Amy W.

Roots, battered and broken by wind, and by waves yet the arms reach upward toward the sun toward life with hope.

The ocean roars as diamonds dance and glisten…

The pond rests in mirror like tranquility only steps away from the stirring ocean…

How many nautical miles did this branch travel as it tossed and turned in the waves? Or perhaps it was recently earthbound, torn down in a hurricane? And now it lies in peace as a fine sculpture.

Enter in to the mysterious…
