Thank you, Creator,

Giver of Life,

for allowing me to be

alive this day

as a human creature,

so young a species

with so much to learn!

     Let it unfold,

     I say.

     Practice

     the discipline

     of non-intrusion

     and non-control

     Be grace-full.

     Let the quiet

     beauty of a life

     reveal itself

     in a place free

     of judgement.

     Make a soul covenant

     with Life – for all

     that is wild and free,

The quiet beauty truly is revealed at Brookgreen – a welcoming place that soothes the soul. As I walked I reflected on the beauty of the stillness and the stillness in the beauty that is this place. The scripture from Isaiah spoke to me: “Be still and know that I am God.”
