Releasing and Releasing
Waiting for a nudge of inspiration,
I sit in the woods, listening to bird calls.
All around me, twenty shades of green
dance in a fitful breeze. This setting
isn’t exotic or even particularly noteworthy,
but my usual thrum of anxiety quiets here
and leaves me open to surprises. The tiniest
white petal floats down from a tree above,
a locust flower letting go into the next stage
of growth. That’s what I take from my time
near the trees – how it’s not holding on that
moves life forward, but willingly releasing
into the next expression of the season.
Releasing and releasing – not yet able to see
the end result but choosing to surrender
into life’s potential – trusting, always trusting
in the ultimate goodness of the whole.

Feeling the peace in the stillness… be still and KNOW that I AM GOD… always here.
